20 Minute Presentation: Rough Draft
Introduction.Hi my name is Atiana Price. My senior topic is self esteem in teenage girls. My essential question is -
What is the most successful way to help a girl feel confident about her self esteem.
1. Watch What You Watch
2. Start/Create a peer group with your friends.
VideoHow the media makes the girls in magazines perfect. Two videos showing how it is that they photo shop girls.
And
Talk about the video. Ask them how they feel about it and have a class discussion about the videos. Explain what and how I feel about photo shop and what I think should be changed about it.
Activity. Give everyone magazines including Ms. Ortega and ask them to find pictures they think are photo shopped. Or ask them out of how many pictures in the magaine, how many girls are photo shopped.

My worry is that you will use up too much of your time on videos. Remember that you need at least 10 minutes of speaking time, and the lesson max is 20 minutes. If you really think the videos will make the lesson, think about how to show only the most important piece and/or turn down the sound and talk your way through a visual. Also, the activity people do must demonstrate their understanding of something your taught. Does it do that? Review the LP component contract for anything else.
